Tangy citrus and creamy avocado come together in this delicious and simple salad.
Blood Orange and Avocado Salad with Sesame Miso Dressing
- 1 Head of Lettuce (Boston Bibb works great)
- 2 Blood Oranges
- 2 Avocados
- Handful of fresh Cilantro
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
- 2 Tablespoons Miso Mayo
- 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- Salt, Pepper
Tear the head of Lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl. Peel and thinly slice the Blood Oranges and Avocados and lay on top of the Lettuce along with the Cilantro leaves.
Over high heat, roast the Sesame Seeds until they are fragrant and light brown in color. Mix the roasted Sesame Seeds with the Miso Mayo, Balsamic Vinegar, Olive Oil, and a little bit of water to thin.
Serve the dressing with the Salad with Salt and Cracked Pepper. Enjoy!
