Chocolate Chip Waffles

Yield: 8-9 waffles

Chocolate Chip Waffles


  • 1 1/2 Cups Oat Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 Cups Unsweetened Coconut Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar (when mixed with the coconut milk, it acts as vegan "buttermilk"!)
  • 1/4 Cup Coconut Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 Cup Enjoy Life Mini Chocolate Chips (these are vegan, nut free, and soy free)
  • 2-3 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Raw Cocao Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil


Mix wet ingredients in a large bowl and the flour, baking powder and salt in a separate smaller bowl. Using a whisk, whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ensuring there are no clumps. Last, toss in the mini-chocolate chips and mix well. Cook the batter on your waffles iron as directed. While they are cookin', heat the sauce ingredients (maple syrup, cocao powder and coconut oil) on low heat mixing often until a liquid consistency is formed. Mix and drizzle over the finished waffles with some FUN fruit!
